Senior Android Developer ( DM 1582 ) - Gurgaon @ Oodles Technologies

Job Description

1. Candidate should be able to work on assignments with the least guidance

2. Candidate required to build and integrate android libraries and modules

3. Candidate required to design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Android/Java code. Responsible for robust and efficient implementation

4. Must ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application, identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. 

5. Design and develop high-quality code.

6. Suggest technical solutions for short and long term

7. Participate and lead software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.

8. Collaborate with team members and across groups to prepare technical specifications.

9. Test, debug, analyze and fix application problems/issues. 

10. Work closely with stakeholders to fix issues in a timely fashion.

11. Participate in code reviews in accordance with program specifications and coding standards, practices and conventions, new designs, changes and enhancements.

12. Mentor less-skilled employees

13. Interact with stakeholders (internal and external) to support product releases and/or resolve program problems.

14. Research and remain informed of new technology and development tools.

Required Candidate profile

1. Strong technical expertise on the Android device platform, exposure to custom UI development. 

2. Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, NDK, Android Studio, Gradle, Lint and how to deal with different screen sizes. 

3. Strong knowledge of JAVA and OOPS concept

4. Good knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices 

5. Must be familiar with Performance Profiling Tools available in android.

6. Must be aware of Junit and other unit testing concepts.

7. Must have good knowledge of - Github/Bitbucket

8. Candidate should have Good Communication and Presentation Skills.

9. Candidate should have very Good Logical and Analytical Skills

10. Experience with third-party libraries and APIs

11. Familiarity with Restful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services 

12. Ability to understand business and technical requirements 

13. Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications 

14. Knowledge of Kotlin will be an added advantage.

15. Knowledge of Flutter or React-native will be an advantage.
