RESPONSIBILITIESAttaches dialyzer & tubing to machine to assemble for use.
Cleans area of access, using antiseptic solution.
Connects hemodialysis machine to access in patient forearm or catheter site to start blood circulating through dialyzer.
Starts blood flow pump at prescribed rate.
Calculates Fluid removal or replacement to be achieved during dialysis procedure.
Takes & records patients post dialysis weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, & respiration rate.
Educating patients on health maintenance & care.
Monitoring Patients undergoing dialysis treatment.
Monitoring & adjusting patient fluid removal rates as required.
May Fabricate Parts, such as cannulas, tubing catheters, connectors, & fittings, using hand tools.
Maintain Daily record of Dialysis performed.
Attend Training
AUTHORITYPatient handling, Coordination, performs procedure during emergency working hours/ in absence of reporting authority.
