Consultants in this role get to:

Be the expert: Responsible for timely and seamless closing and funding of all loan transactions that have received final approval from the investor. Review files received from processing thoroughly to check if all documents needed for closing are available. Verify the documents accuracy and consistency, such as title, appraisal and insurance forms. Ensure all the fees and cost are accurately calculated. Ensure all at close and funding conditions are met as per investor requirements.
Strengthen relationships: Responsible to coordinate with the Borrower, Loan Officer, Processor, Title Company and the Underwriting team to set up closing date and time, and ensure that each party involved is accurately informed about the closing details and procedures.
Be the point of contact: Make calls to concerned third parties with to schedule loan closing. Work with the on shore counterpart for contacting Borrower and loan officer to schedule closing date and time as per the prescribed dates from management and Borrower's agreement. Provides first line customer support by answering queries & timely resolving their issues, ensuring minimum TAT. Assess the customer feedback, evaluating areas of improvements & working on critical feedback.
Impact the botom line: Generate MIS reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis both for Management within the company.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED; College degree preferred

  • Should have good computer handling skills, well versed with keyboard shortcuts and able to identify new ways to complete a task in less time

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with mortgage rates

  • Multi-tasking skills, showcased through the use of several applications

  • Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, flexible, team-oriented, organized and prompt

  • Must have strong computer skills and proficiency with loan industry software, in addition to a working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs

  • Should have current knowledge of loan closing and documentation procedures, closers must have solid math and calculation skills
