It will also embark on new business development and implementation particularly Offshore Wind and HVDC transmission projects in Asia and Middle East.

Responsibilities:
Ensure that the company is functioning as per the laws, regulations and guidelines and also act as an in-house legal advisor to the Head and other Executives of India business
Ensure compliance with the provisions of The Companies Act, 2013 and in timely filing of all relevant forms and annual returns according to Companies Law.
With inputs from Head of India, convene and conduct company India Board meetings and ensure that resolutions and minutes are prepared and implemented accordingly
Act as custodian for all original records, contracts and legal documents of the company such as:
Company / Staff Insurance Policies
GST Registration
Employee Provident Fund records
Tax Records and Annual Accounts
Statutory Compliance records
Transfer pricing records
Audit reports
PAYE information
Work closely with legal and contracts management functional stakeholders in global Headquarters and Business Lines
Support the external auditors and internal audit in their testing of controls pertaining to statutory approvals/ registrations and requirements.
Provide guidance to company's India Board and India leadership team over a range of matters such as labor laws, intellectual property rights, contract / companies law, antitrust matters, ethical conduct of business etc.
Advise the company by taking deep subject knowledge from external legal experts in Legal matters as required.
Participate and assist in Banking, Finance and Accounting Services
Communicate with various stakeholders like Company Directors, Government Regulators and Authorities
Assist in Corporate Social Responsibility Compliance
Keeping up to date with any regulatory or statutory changes and policies that might affect the company
Qualifications:
Qualified and member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ACS) PG Degree. Supplementing, a legal degree is advantageous.
5+ years of experience as a Company Secretary for an Indian legal entity preferably of a multinational corporation
A well-developed knowledge of governance compliance and procedures, including the management of Board and Committee records.
Excellent written communication skills to enable preparation of high-level briefings, minutes, reports and correspondence as required
Proven time management skills enabling the delivery of efficient and effective governance processes and support
Highly developed interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships at a senior level
Excellent understanding of various statutory legislations and regulations pertaining to activities conducted at India
