JOB Description: Senior Quality Engineer

Mission: To test the software in the assigned area with highest quality standards.

BE/B.Tech./MCA with 60% throughout academics.

Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following

1. Thorough understanding in manual testing.

2. Expertise in Automation testing for web applications as well as mobile applications

3. Implement and develop automated test practices for web (desktop and mobile) applications

4. Design and create test scripts using C# to address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability in preparation for implementation

5. Work with the Scrum Master and other team members to define process and strategy associated with automation

6. Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content

7. Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope/delivery dates.

8. Understand requirements and come up with comprehensive test case list

9. Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression and system testing, defect logging etc.

10. Prepare detailed test plan based on project requirements

11. Understand and follow all the standard procedures in QA team

12. Understand technology and domain areas for the tasks assigned

13. Be a good team player and communicate with various teams and also handle conference calls

14. Familiarize with all testing tools employed

15. Share new insights, if any, with team members

16. Train and bring new team members on board

17. Contribute to automation and/or performance testing
Skills & Qualifications

1. Testing on web applications across different platforms, i.e., PC, mobile and other handheld devices

2. Mobile device testing of Windows, Android and iOS platform

3. Complete working knowledge in Functional & Regression Test Automation Tools (Selenium, Coded UI, Soap UI )

4. Ability to create scripts beyond record and playback using C#. Specifically developing functions, adding control flow logic, loops etc.

5. Solid understanding of object oriented programming, design and debugging skills.

6. Excellent understanding of software design techniques.

7. Experience of source control systems and configuration management.

8. Experience in Agile development methodologies preferable.

9. Proven ability to deliver quality results in a busy and dynamic business focused environment

10. Experience in testing Web and Client Server applications

11. Well versed with SDLC, STLC and other Quality Assurance processes

12. Ability to work independently

13. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to train others

14. Good Oral & Written communication skills and able to handle conference calls with USA teams

15. Good knowledge on Web technologies like HTML, Java Script, CSS, HTTP and Ajax

16. Good programming skills

17. Experience in Automation/Performance testing is an added advantage

18. Able to quickly adapt to changing needs of the business
