- Azure DevOps is an integrated DevOps platform that helps software development teams plan smarter, collaborate better, and ship faster. Its the DevOps tool of choice for many of Microsofts biggest and most important customers, including Microsoft itself.
- We re looking for an experienced and passionate program manager to join the Azure DevOps team at Microsoft supporting the Analytics and Reporting area of the Azure DevOps product. Azure DevOps Analytics powers built in and custom reporting solutions that are critical for our largest and most important customers.
- Some key problems we are working on include: ensuring our reporting platform and experiences scale with the needs of our largest customer, and working across teams to ensure key reporting scenarios are handled across the breadth of Azure DevOps, including Boards, Pipelines, and Test Plans.
- In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work with a globally distributed, diverse, and passionate team. You ll work with other program managers, designers, and engineers to research, create and maintain features and experiences for Azure DevOps and deliver them to millions of developers across the world. You will also develop expertise in Azure DevOps product features and help customers understand how to use them effectively in their DevOps transformations.
Responsibilities
Own the product vision for Azure DevOps reporting. Ensure that it aligns with the overall product and company visions and that it helps our customers succeed.
Engage with our top customers, identify opportunities to retain and grow our engage user base.
Represent the customer. Be their champion and voice.
Manage the roadmap. Make tough prioritization decisions while helping the team think long-term. Build trust with stakeholders by maintaining an understandable, accurate roadmap.
Collaborate across teams. We win or lose as a team. Program managers play a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders. A collaborative attitude is essential to the job.
Measure success. Own the measures used to define success for your product. Success measures are defined at the inception of a product and tracked throughout its lifecycle. Make measures visible to all stakeholders and interpret them into actionable conclusions and new hypotheses.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
6+ years of engineering, product management, program management, or equivalent experience with demonstrated ability to discover opportunities and define and deliver products.
Experience building features for a cloud service/application, SaaS at scale.
Strong customer and stakeholder empathy and understanding.
Advanced technical problem solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Experience leading new product specifications, competitive intelligence and engagement of necessary cross-functional resources.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with modern software development practices and the DevOps domain.
Strong analytical capabilities. You excel at and enjoy building models and decomposing complex structures and data into useful primitives and analyses.
