Job description
Keeping track of the regulatory environment and disseminating information on new regulations to the stakeholders.
Tracking of the implementation of new circulars and regulations in the business of the Company
Liasioning with the Insurers to stay abreast with latest regulatory developments and setting up systems and process to ensure compliance thereof.
Advising business/operational units on variety of legal and compliance matters and queries.
Ensure timely filing of regulatory returns and other reports with the IRDA
Abreast with the compliances of all the applicable Regulations to the Company.
Responding to communications received from IRDAI and other statutory/regulatory matters.
Handling of onsite inspections by IRDAI
Compliances and formalities relating renewal of licenses of the business
Setting up of internal controls and systems in place for proper monitoring and ensure training and licensing of certified persons.
Ensuring that all the disclosures to IRDAI are made/approvals are sought within stipulated timelines.
Setting up systems/process to ensure that records are maintained as per regulatory obligations.
Reviewing of Insurance Advertisements and filings the same with IRDAI for approvals.
Legal:-
Provide analysis and counsel on a range of legal issues, including corporate issues, business
structures and models, employment issues etc.
Drafting and Reviewing of Business and Operational Agreements and related documents for
empanelling insurers and other service providers.
Periodic review of Agreements to ensure prudent management of compliance risk.
Negotiate terms of Contracts with internal and external stakeholders.
Analyse a broad range of complex laws and regulations affecting the operations of the
Company including those arising from corporates structures and business models.
Develop company s strategies in defending end enforcing suits.
Develop a network of outside counsels to advice and represent the Company in consumer forums and other adjudicating forums
Deal with enforcement agencies like Police, CBI ED etc
Anticipate and identify legal issues that concerned the organizations and develop legal strategies and solutions to mitigate the risk for the Company.
