- Job Description Job Description Responsible for monitoring the security environment, tracking the compliance audit process for IT applications along with providing incident management support. This is an operational role, responsible for delivering results that have a direct impact on day-to-day operations and capable of instructing professional or technical staff and reviewing the quality of the work undertaken by these roles. Responsibilities Conducting quality checks and offering constructive feedback to L1 analysts. Maintain the SOC metrics(MTTD, MTTR and MTTC). In-depth technical knowledge on various security controls(SIEM query to retrieve the data, DLP, CASB, EDR/EPP, WAF, FW, Network traffic analysis, Windows and Linux OS commands and its components) Investigating the alerts where to reduce the false alarms to avoid unwanted burden to the L1 analysts. Providing the whitelist suggestions with proper analysis. Follow ups and closing the incidents which is pending more than 7 days. Supporting the L1 team, by performing in-depth technical analysis to detect the anomaly and escalate it to the management. Preparing the playbooks for L1 analysts to follow the IRP process for quick investigation and closure. Reviewing the use case logics to detect the threats specifically. Review with Engineering team to build a better logics. Supporting various internal and external audits(SOC 2, DoT and ISO). Automation to reduce manual works of L1 analysts. Handling user level violation and reporting to GRC Team. Handling the live alerts, when the team over loaded. Providing knowledge to the various security controls to L1 analysts. Collecting the data from the various controls for pattern analysis and management presentations. Minimum qualification & experience Relevant years of experience Information security domain Desired Skill sets Good process understanding and execution, disaster recovery understanding, industry certifications - CEH, Security+ or any other same level of certifications Good understanding of Information Security domain IT Security risk management and incident management experience Participate in audits and risk assessment activities.,
