Job Description
- Position: Manager-Fixed Assets/EALM Location: Pune Department: Finance and Accounting Job Summary :We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fixed Assets accounting lead to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's fixed assets, ensuring compliance with multiple GAAP standards, performing timely monthly closures, and preparing Management Information System (MIS) reports. This role requires proficiency in SAP Hana, advanced Excel skills, and a strong aptitude for automation and advanced technologies . Key Responsibilitie s:Fixed Assets Managemen t:Maintain the fixed assets register, ensuring all acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation entries are accurately recorde d.Conduct regular physical verification of assets and reconcile with the fixed asset registe r.Coordinate with various departments for capital expenditure (CapEx) budgeting and trackin g.Compliance and Reportin g:Ensure compliance with multiple GAAP standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP, local GAAP) in all fixed asset transactions and reportin g.Prepare and present fixed assets reports for internal and external stakeholder s.Assist in the preparation of financial statements with specific focus on fixed asset s.Prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports for senior managemen t.Audit and Internal Control s:Prepare audit schedules related to fixed assets and assist auditors in their inquirie s.Develop and implement internal controls over the fixed assets process to ensure accuracy and complianc e.Address and resolve audit findings, ensuring no adverse comments, and implement recommendation s.Monthly Closure s:Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes related to fixed asset s.Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledger to the general ledger and prepare necessary journal entrie s.Analyze variances and provide explanations for significant difference s.Guidance and Evaluatio n:Provide guidance to management on the evaluation of CapEx and OpEx assessment s.Offer insights and recommendations on financial impacts related to fixed assets and enterprise asset life cycle managemen t.System and Process Improvemen t:Utilize SAP Hana for asset management, reporting, and analysi s.Enhance fixed asset processes and workflows for efficiency and accurac y.Drive the application of advanced technologies and automation in fixed assets and enterprise asset life cycle managemen t.Provide training and support to team members on fixed asset management best practice s. Qualifications and Skil ls:Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, Cost Accountant) preferr ed.3-5 years of experience in fixed assets accounting in a multi-GAAP environme nt.Proficiency in SAP Hana and advanced Microsoft Excel skil ls.Strong understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, and local GA AP.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skil ls.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skil ls.Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneous ly.Strong communication and interpersonal skil ls.Go-getter attitude with a focus on ensuring deliverables are met on ti me. Preferred Qualificati ons:Experience working in a listed comp any.Knowledge of other ERP syst ems.Experience with process improvement initiati ves.Familiarity with other accounting software and to ols.,
