Job Description:
Chef Cookbook Creation
- Experience in developing new cookbooks for various operating systems
- Expertise in creating cookbooks for both Windows and Linux environments
- Experience in creating cookbooks for application deployments such as MS SQL, MongoDB
- Familiarity with automated cookbook testing
Maintaining Existing Chef Recipes
- Ensure all existing Chef recipes remain functional and up-to-date with the latest software releases and patches
- Monitor ticketing system for Chef-related issues and resolve them promptly
- Address and resolve any issues reported by the Chef dashboard, creating tickets as needed
Maintaining Chef Automate on Paramount Cloud Infrastructure
- Manage and maintain Chef software installed on AWS EC2, including necessary updates and upgrades
- Oversee disaster recovery (DR) configurations for Chef, initiating and supporting DR processes as required
- Ensure proper promotion of cookbooks across environments during deployment
