Job Description As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products and solutions. Your expertise in quality control processes, testing methodologies, and team management will be pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the overall software development life cycle. Responsibilities 1. Quality Management: Develop and implement QA strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent product quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality standards and metrics for software development projects. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality assurance processes to identify areas for improvement. 2. Testing and Validation: Lead and manage the QA team responsible for manual and automated testing activities. Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify software functionality, performance, and security. Coordinate with developers and business analysts to understand project requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. 3. Automation and Tools: Identify opportunities for test automation and implement appropriate tools and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency. Drive the creation and maintenance of automated test scripts, ensuring maximum coverage and reliability. Stay updated on industry best practices and trends related to testing and automation. 4. Defect Management: Manage the defect tracking process, ensuring accurate documentation, prioritization, and resolution of issues. Collaborate with development teams to facilitate timely bug fixes and ensure the release of high-quality software. 5. Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve the QA process to streamline workflows and enhance productivity. Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas of risk in the software development life cycle and propose solutions. 6. Reporting and Communication: Provide regular status updates, test reports, and quality metrics to stakeholders and senior management. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure a shared understanding of quality goals and expectations. 7. Team Leadership: Hire, train, mentor, and motivate QA team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback. 8. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in software quality assurance. Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, test cases, and testing outcomes. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Proven experience (12+ years) in quality assurance within the IT industry, with 5+ years in a managerial or leadership role. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Proficiency in test automation tools and frame works. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development life cycle. Certification in quality assurance or testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
