Job Description
- Business Function: Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning, and finance processes. We provide insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions whether in the areas of product development or customer profitability. We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services. Job Purpose: Profile would be responsible for Business finance for CBG business Cost Management for India Business Branch Profitability Monitoring across products, locations, and segments The incumbent is expected to independently manage the said section. Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities : Manage the CBG Country initiative for Finance related deliverables. Manage the Business Finance support through Analytics and Business Partnering, competitor and market analysis. Responsible for driving the budget, forecast and flash results by providing inputs on business drivers and continuous monitoring of actual vs. budgets. Help business heads in tracking & monitoring business performance. Suggest suitable remedial action Track & monitor Sector & Segment wise performance of Partner Business Tracking business financials for the India CBG business and work with the business head and product teams to drive business profitability, share product / client level analysis with the business to enhance business profitability. Manage overall cost for the India business including all support units. Work closely with the T&O team on cost management including driving regional initiatives for SU cost management. Drive process improvement and automation of manual processes. Tracking of branch level profitability at product, segment, geographies, and verticals on monthly basis and provide insights to business team to enhance profitability at branches. Tracking revenues and cost at branches and suggesting ideas to enhance the revenue and reduce cost. Tracking of branch performance against budgets and forecasts and suggesting ideal product mix to enhance profitability of the vertical and branches. Track of whether all the fee-based incomes are realized and accounted at branch level. Work with business team on strategic initiatives and driving the key drivers to enhance profitability Mentor team for higher level of roles and commitment. Promote Staff learning through training and thereby gearing staff for higher responsibility. Work on projects assigned by CFO. Experience: Minimum 18+ yrs. experience with about 4 to 5 years in a similar capacity in mid-size bank. Comprehensive exposure to managing business finance and key drivers Sound knowledge of the overall banking environment and applicable regulations. Education / Preferred Qualifications: Chartered Accountant. 12-15 Years of Banking experience in the Finance Domain preferably CFO in small bank or NBFC. Core Competencies: Strong team leader with clear thoughts. Decision taking abilities. Consistency, efficiency and standardisation of processes and controls. Strong inter-personal skills. Issue resolution skills Performance and Results Orientation Change / Innovation management Good teamwork Technical Competencies: Sound understanding of banking products across all segments. Good communication and presentation skills Proficiency in MS Office and particularly in Excel Work Relationship: Strong working relationship with all units in India and within the Finance department itself. Interaction with RBI, Auditors, Regulators, and compliance team.,
