We are looking for passionate Unix Linux and Cloud professionals to join our dynamic team here at Fiserv.
Below is the job description:
What does a successful Application Support Engineer - Unix Linux and Cloud do at FISERV ?
- Works in Distributed Computing Platform team providing infrastructure and application support to various business lines and works with staff to troubleshoot and problem-solve Infrastructure and related application issues. We are looking for candidate who has working knowledge of Cloud on AWS and GCP.
What will you do:
- The ideal candidate will have at least 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack: hardware, software, automation, application.
- Perform Installation, configuration, customization, operation, recovery and troubleshooting of AIX/Linux/VMware servers in a Production and Build environment.
- Cover on-call/Standby on rotation. Managing ticket queues for incidents/service requests & changes
- Support 24x7 coverage as per Business needs
- Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems on AWS and GCP
- Create self-provisioning infrastructure using tools like Puppet, Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes in the Cloud Environment
What will you need to know:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, a related technical or scientific field, or equivalent work experience and/or Certifications.
- 7+ Years in UNIX Linux scripting language such as Python, bash, ruby
- 6+ years of knowledge on security technologies such as Kerberos and SSL and experience with toolsets such as JIRA, and Salt, Spacewalk
- Demonstrated the ability in scripting and troubleshooting application errors in Linux/Unix environments with fine technical acumen
- Hands on experience on SAN/NAS storage
- 4+ years of experience in using Splunk, AppDynamics, or equivalent monitoring tools.

- Certification on Red-Hat Linux
