What does a successful IT Project Manager do at FISERV ?
As an IT Project Manager at Fiserv, you will be a pivotal player in ensuring the successful execution of complex technology projects. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and partners to oversee project planning, execution, and delivery. Your primary responsibility will be to lead projects from initiation to closure, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
What will you do:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from project initiation to closure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
- Monitor project progress and performance, tracking key metrics and KPIs.
- Implement and adhere to project management methodologies, best practices, and standards.
- Manage project budgets and financials, ensuring projects are delivered within budget constraints.
- Effectively communicate project status, updates, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and accessible for auditing and reporting purposes.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
What will you need to know:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Strong understanding of a wide range of technologies, including cloud computing, mobile applications, web development, and database systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are preferred.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving technology landscape.
What would be great to have:
- Experience in financial services or payment solutions is a plus.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, and blockchain is desirable.
