What does a successful Product Owner - Payments do at FISERV ?
Fiserv is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Agile Product Owner with a deep understanding of technical development and a passion for staying at the forefront of emerging technologies. As an Agile Product Owner at Fiserv, you will be a key player in defining and delivering end-to-end solutions within an agile framework. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, prioritize and manage the product backlog, and guide the development team to create high-quality solutions.
What will you do:
- Act as the product owner within the Agile development team, responsible for defining, prioritizing, and maintaining the product backlog.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document functional requirements and user stories for business and technical applications.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that user stories are well-understood, appropriately scoped, and aligned with project goals.
- Prioritize user stories based on business value and customer needs, ensuring that the development team delivers the highest value features first.
- Manage and maintain the product backlog, tracking progress, and ensuring that development tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Engage with the development team throughout the sprint to provide clarifications, make trade-off decisions, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, facilitating communication, and ensuring alignment throughout the development process.
- Continuously groom and refine the product backlog based on changing priorities and feedback from stakeholders.
What will you need to know:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in large complex organizations, preferably in BFSI.
- 5+ years of experience and comprehensive understanding of agile delivery and practices.
- Proficiency in understanding applications built on a wide range of distributed and cloud technologies, including cloud workloads, containerization, Linux, Java/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, MVC, Angular JS, React, Mobile and Application Middleware, ESB, Datapower XML/JSON, SOA, and API management.
- Familiarity with microservices, mobile and web app security concepts, session management, performance tuning, automated testing techniques, high availability engineering, and database technologies for mobile and web apps.
- Experience working with payment solutions and familiarity with mainframe environments is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills to build relationships with team members and customers for problem-solving and issue resolution.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and waterfall life cycle application development.
- Comfortable mentoring junior staff.
