Job Description
Designation: Senior Cloud Engineer
As an IT Engineer specializing in Cloud Solutions and Automation, your role is pivotal in the IT engineering department. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge solutions with a focus on OpenStack, KVM, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux clustering, Zabbix, and other technologies. Your expertise will contribute to the evolution of our IT infrastructure, emphasizing solutioning and automation for optimal efficiency.
Role & responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions based on OpenStack and KVM for scalable and efficient infrastructure.
- Orchestrate containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker for seamless deployment and management.
- Implement and manage Linux clustering solutions for high availability and performance.
- Develop and automate solutions for monitoring and performance management using Zabbix and other relevant tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet business requirements.
- Lead efforts to automate routine tasks and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in the cloud and infrastructure environment.
- Work closely with security teams to implement and maintain secure practices across cloud and IT infrastructure.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the IT engineering team.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Extensive experience with cloud technologies, particularly OpenStack and KVM.
- Proficiency in container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Strong background in Linux clustering solutions for high availability.
- Automation skills using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Expertise in monitoring and performance management tools, with a focus on Prometheus and Zabbix.
- In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud administration.
- Proven experience in solutioning and designing complex IT architectures.
Good to Have Skill:
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms like VMware, RHEV.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
- Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) concepts.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless computing
