The Role

Our Team in South Asia and Central Asia Division is currently in search for a Divisional Tax Manager to be based in India Office. This person is assigned to overall taxation compliance, accounting review and corporate governance in South Asia and Central Asia and will be reporting to the Group Taxation Head in Australia Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shall run calculations of quarterly and year-to-end provisions for entities in South Asia Division;
  • Shall withhold foreign tax management for cross border services;
  • Shall own direct and indirect tax compliance for all entities located in located in SA Region and work with local country service providers to ensure timelines are met;
  • Shall provide accurate and timely information to service providers for periodic tax filings and review and approve tax payment/refund calculations;
  • Shall build and maintain a compliance tracker to plan and ensure compliance on time;
  • Shall prepare and provide information to external auditors for financial audits of subsidiaries Branches ;
  • Shall resolve tax and compliance issues, co-ordinate with cross functional teams;
  • Shall effectively lead and manage tax and compliance projects; and
  • Shall review and advise on Project tax computations at bidding stage.
  • Shall be in charge of Intercompany tax accounting review and reporting, account reconciliations;
  • Shall review draft financials for tax provisions; and
  • Shall work closely with Group Tax team on the transfer pricing strategy and policies.
  • Shall support tax side of the strategic globalization project, determine tax and compliance concerns in new jurisdictions;
  • Shall hire service providers for tax, corporate and legal compliance; and
  • Shall carry out other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by the Group Tax Team, or by designated person in authority on the project.
Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • He/she has Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accountancy, Accounting or related degree, and must be a Chartered Accountant
  • He/she has a total of 12++ years' experience in international taxation, auditing, accounting reviews, and corporate government in South Asia
  • He/she has more than 2++ years of SAP Application
  • He/she must have an outside the country or overseas experience in Taxation and Accounting Reviews
