Job Description
Storage Support (Dell EMC & Net app Storage): (L2& L3 - Infrastructure Support):
Experience: 6 to 8 Years (Storage)
- Participate in and support capacity planning and development of long-term strategic goals for enterprise storage in conjunction with data owners and department managers
- Work with systems and database administrators to implement storage architectures that utilize industry best practices including [Information Lifecycle Management, Hierarchical Storage Management].
- Install and configure storage devices and corresponding software.
- Implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of storage appliances and stored data assets.
- Establish appropriate end-user access control levels for stored data.
- Perform tasks necessary to fulfill service level agreements with end-users regarding storage allocations, limitations, security, and availability.
- Perform and test backups and restores to ensure that enterprise data is effectively protected.
- Communicate and enforce, through system procedures, data storage retention policies.
- Follow change control, incident response, and testing processes for modifications to storage appliances and software.
- Anticipate, mitigate, identify, respond to, and resolve issues with storage devices, storage access, and data retrieval.
- Research and make recommendations on storage products, services, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
- Monitor, analyze, and predict trends for storage equipment performance, space allocation, and data growth to recommend enhancements to the IT storage team.
- Develop routines for end-users to facilitate storage best practices, including desktop storage administration.
- Remain informed on storage laws, trends, and issues, including current and emerging technologies and best practices; advise, counsel, and educate executive and management teams on their relative importance.
- Ensure that information storage measures and equipment adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform storage server/database transaction and security audits leading to identification and mitigation of security threats to enterprise data. Recommend and implement changes where necessary.
- Create required reports in response to business user needs.
- Develop, document, and maintain operational processes and tasks.
- Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.
- Managing, design, configuration and implementation ofHP, DELL EMC & Netapp Storage.
- Provide Tier 2,3 support for backup server related issues as required.
- open to work in stretched shifts, 24X7 shift, odd working hours and weekends as per the work requirements.
- Provides direct technical support in Troubleshooting and implementing, the solution for global infrastructure
- strong experience in storage, recovery, troubleshooting, performing proactive maintenance and optimizing performance.
- experience in handling CIFS & NFS file share management.
- Perform activities related to install, configure and managing SAN devices,Storageand fiber switches.
- Administer FC switches as well as blade chassis FC devices.
- Execute FC zoning for development and production,storagevolumes.
- Manage snapshot as well as recovery methods forstoragevolumes.
- Execute across-site replication of significant DR data.
- Supervise volume replication overnight jobs and execute improvements.
- Oversee IO performance of production along with development of databases LUNs.
- Provide architecture as well as performance recommendations to DBAs and Ops.
- Conduct bottleneck evaluation to identify performance issues.
- Ensure backup methods are in place as well as tested for FC LUNs.
- Develop and maintain records for entirestorageas well as FC systems.
- Administer entirestoragesystems
- provide the support for NAS, SAN and UnifiedStorageit includesStorageHealth Check-up, Monitoring alerts and take preventive and reactive actions. Creating and management of shares fromstorage perspective. Good troubleshooting skills
- Capacity Management: MonitoringStorage, Audit logs and take reactive and proactive action.
- Provide reporting on capacity usage to the management.

- Perform the implementation with the help of the team and make the infrastructure compliant with Industry best practices
- Good scripting knowledge in (Perl and Shell)
- Good knowledge in ITIL frame work on Incident, Problem, Change management & Service request management
- Provides support with an emphasis on Hanon Systems Internal SLA and commitments are met on time and with a high level of quality.
